My experience as a writer includes freelance writing, paid professional writing, manuscript writing,

Adult Educator
One description of my career is that of adult educator. I have spent my entire career involved in the
training, development, coaching, and mentoring of adults, regardless of what my actual job title has
been. As a career coach, I have also helped many people develop their career plans, learn about their
professional calling, and discover what they are passionate about doing for a career.
College Instructor
Presently I teach for two nationwide online universities. My duties include teaching students, mentoring
and training new faculty members, and working with the development of students each week through
online workshops.

customer expectations, managing conflict and conflict resolution.
I also taught courses as an adjunct instructor at a nationwide technical college, and that list of classes
includes Global Business & Management and an Introduction to Electronic Commerce.
Corporate Experience
The first half of my career was spent in the insurance claims industry, where my job titles included
litigation claims manager, litigation manager, arbitrator, and trainer. The second half of my career is
now involved in working with what I am most passionate about, helping adults learn and grow; both
personally and professionally.
A Love of Learning
I have had a life-long love of learning. I first obtained an undergraduate degree in Business
Administration in 1987. I completed a Master's in Business Administration in 2000, a second Master's in
Adult Education in 2004, and a Certificate in Training & Performance Improvement in 2005.
Presently I am working on my Ph.D. in the field of Adult Education. I've completed all of my
coursework, passed my comprehensive examination, and began my dissertation study proposal work
this summer.
I believe that there are no limits to what we can achieve; only we limit our own potential. What it takes
to succeed in your career or with any goal you choose is determination, commitment, and most
importantly of all: a willingness to learn and change. Believe in yourself, believe in what you can be,
hold on to that vision and you will make it!!
