Here are statements from Dr. J to help encourage you on your journey of personal and professional development.
As you consider your journey through life: Today, think about this approach as you reflect upon your new day and the direction you would like to take today - it really doesn't matter where you've been, even if there have been mistakes made along the way. What's important to remember is that you have learned and now you are moving forward with your life.
People often judge their potential based upon limiting self beliefs that originate from within and from those around them. Here is something to consider: you are never “too old,” you are never “too young,” you are never “not smart enough,” and you are never “not strong enough” or lack the ability for determination and self-motivation – unless you choose to accept these self imposed limitations.
It is often said that a good guy finishes last. In reality, the one who finishes a race or completes a goal, whether they are participating in a sport, managing their career, or pursuing any other goal; does so through focused self-determination and perseverance.
You cannot live up to the perceived expectations of others- but you can develop your personal best, limited only by an inability to imagine. If you have a capacity to dream, what can you create?
Someone can tell you that you will be successful and you will do well in your career or life, but it will not happen until you believe it. What do you choose to believe about yourself today?
